Upon entering our office, our staff will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Next, you will have a consultation to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Andy Van Hoewyk to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, you will receive a complete chiropractic examination testing your posture, balance, reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. We explain our procedures in detail, answer your questions and get your consent before each procedure.
Depending on your specific condition, we will take X-rays as a part of our examination. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. Also, at specific periods of your corrective care, we will do follow-up x-rays to confirm your spinal correction.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, the staff at World Class Chiropractic will schedule you for your reports with Dr. Andy Van Hoewyk. This usually occurs within 1-2 days of your examination. On that visit Dr. Andy will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- What is wrong with me?
- Can you help me?
The purpose of this visit is to have you thoroughly understand your exam findings & answer all your questions about your X-rays. Only then will Dr. Andy be able to provide the best adjustment, treatment and wellness program for your needs.
At the conclusion of your 2nd appointment, you may choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal manipulation, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
Our Corrective Care Program
The state of your health involves many stages of healing. If you are in pain when you first come into our office, our first goal is to resolve your symptoms, (though symptoms don’t give us total indication of your problem). This may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. Once the pain is gone, the doctor will suggest a corrective care program. Correcting your spine & posture is crucial to reduce chances of having future serious spinal problems. We will verify your insurance coverage and explain how it might support your chiropractic needs. Our wellness team will work with you to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
